KNOXVILLE – Motorists traveling on I-40 in Loudon County should be aware of upcoming bridge repair activities that will have an impact on traffic.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 3, I-40 will be reduced to one lane in each direction at MM 363 in Loudon County to allow for repairs to the bridge that spans over Paw Paw Plains Road. This bridge repair work is taking place approximately one mile from Exit 364 (Lenoir City/US 321).

These lane closures will be in place 24/7 until no later than 6 a.m. on Monday, October 6. The third and final weekend of bridge repair work, which requires lane closures in this area, will begin on Friday, October 17.
