COSBY – The Washburn High School Lady Pirates basketball team, playing with a short bench after losing senior Saylor Clay to a season-ending injury, fell to Cosby High School 57-44 in a District 2A game Friday, January 17.

The Lady Pirates as a team had 21 turnovers and committed 18 fouls.

Ebany Hill led the scoring with 22 points, Hannah Williams scored 11 points, Abigail Epperson scored six points, Leah Collins shot three points and Taylie Proffitt added two points.
