Congratulations to David Conner, Athlete of the Week for Kokomo High School! Conner reached a major milestone at the John Hurrle Invitational, securing the 100th victory of his career. Competing at 165 pounds, Conner finished the day with a 3–2 record, earning a fourth-place finish.

Congratulations to Haven Grunderson, Athlete of the Week for Eastern High School! Grunderson won three individual races and was a member of four winning relay teams to help lead the team to victories over Blackford and Pioneer.

Kokomo opened a new era under first-year Wildkats head coach Drew Schauss with a strong 78–46 win over rival Western. The Kats set the tone early with energy, effort, and balanced play across all four quarters. Sophomore DJ Nash led the way with 20 points on 81.8 percent shooting, while Western’s Carter Biggs finished with a game-high 26.

Kokomo is back in action Friday, Dec. 5, with a 7:30 p.m. home tipoff against Peru. Western returns to the court Saturday, Nov. 29, to face Twin Lakes at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis. That matchup is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
