Back in March, I was honored to receive the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System award for Best Station Promo for KUR. Out of 6 nominations for the station, it was our only win of the 2020-2021 season. On Wednesday our trophies finally arrived, as there was no in person ceremony to accept them.

Ironically enough, on the night of awards I was already celebrating. I was with a few members of my family and my boyfriend at my sister’s wedding when my phone started blowing up with messages of congratulations. I’m lucky that a few folks caught my reaction to learning I had won.

College radio has been an amazing experience, it’s even made me an international award winner (there are colleges from other countries that submit to this)! I can’t thank everyone who has helped me along the way enough. To all the good times of the past, and the better times to come.

IBS, just you wait for what I’m submitting this year 🤪

Can you believe there are only two episodes left of Jenna’s Jukebox Jam for the semester?

This week I needed to take a mental break, needed to focus a bit on my studies and more importantly myself. I haven’t gone fishing (never been and don’t really want to be) but I have gone and taken some much needed me time.

Next week you’re in for a treat! On May 3rd we will be taking another dip into my Spotify, this time going through my “On Repeat” folder. Let’s see what music is currently the sound track to my life!

Lastly, we are ending the semester with my last show on May 10th. Gonna be a fun show to finish off a great third year on radio. Come with me as we take a trip down memory lane!

grateful for the beautiful world i walk on every day. so happy spring is starting to really show and things are blooming. i just hope the cold stays away!
