KUR's much loved cool 80s summer just got even cooler with the addition to weekdays of Professor Thursday's Totally 80s Summer School every weekday from 2 - 3 p.m. Take a deeper dive into the deeper side genres of 80s music like metal, jazz, and punk. Pennsylvania's Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Berks County Department of Emergency Services (DES) announced that 9-1-1 call delivery in Berks and throughout the state has returned to normal service.

The agencies shared their appreciation for the public’s patience through Friday’s disruption. Please do not call 9-1-1 to “test” the system.

Dear Campus Community,

Pennsylvania's Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Berks County have been advised that there are technical issues impacting the delivery of 9-1-1 calls throughout Pennsylvania. PEMA and its call handling provider are engaged and investigating.

This issue does not affect Kutztown University's Public Safety emergency line. To report an emergency on campus, please call 610-683-4001.

Callers in Berks County needing to reach 9-1-1 should try using 9-1-1, but, if the call cannot be connected, they should hang up and dial 610-655-4911.
