Here’s a belted kingfisher perched, which I’ve never actually seen happen lol. These guys don’t like to sit still but this time was a score. One of these days I’ll get one in flight.

What up chuck. First time encountering a woodchuck/groundhog, however you want to say it . Very inquisitive little guys, reminds me of marmots (same family).

Never gets old watching Great Blue Herons in flight. When you see them along shorelines so much this is always a nice treat

Great Blue Heron up high on a stump. Typically you seen them down in the water snatching fish 🐟 in rivers and marshes. Such goofy birds.

Least Bittern cruising in the morning sun. First time seeing one of these guys. Kind of remind me of a green heron. Very cool experience.

Not everyday you get an opportunity to find a leucistic bird. This guy was actually quite a challenge to photograph as he was jumping around tree to tree through decently thick foliage…but then he stopped stopped and said “ok fine” 😁

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! To me there’s nothing more symbolic of this day than the American Bald Eagle. Today we celebrate our independence, resilience, and perseverance of the American people. We celebrate our right to be free in how we live our lives, how we think, and to stand up against tyranny. This it’s what this day is about, why we should celebrate no matter what is going on in the world. We celebrate we will never give up to protect our basic rights as humans.

Enjoy your weekend and spend it with friends and family. Be positive and realize many died to give us the American dream.

Got no egrets about capturing this guy.

This was such a unique capture of this Bald Eagle after grabbing him some breakfast. He was staring at the Osprey that were above. It’s common to see other eagles or go after a catch, so this guy was on high alert to make sure ain’t no one coming in to snag it up.

For my small bird loving friends, here a Rose-breasted Grosbeak for yah. This guy was quite curious of me as I stumbled upon him.

Great Blue Herons are one off my favorite subjects to photograph and film. They have such sassy personalities and are just goofy too. Not too often though I get to photograph them in flight.
