Hello everyone, I’d thought I’d do an introduction post again for those who are new and old. My name is Jeff and live in La Crosse, WI on the upper Mississippi River where there’s beautiful bluffs and diverse wildlife. We are lucky to be right a long the great migration highway. My favorite subjects to photograph are raptors, but if you can’t tell really love Bald eagles.

I’m a HVAC instructor for Western Technical College and I’m also working on my bachelors in HVAC engineering technology and energy management. I grew up most my life here but originally from Iowa.

I started photography over 15 years ago but didn’t become serious (have a pro camera) until about 2 years ago where I found my passion for wildlife photography. As much as I say things about instagram I’ve met some incredible people on here and even in real life adventures and couldn’t be happier I’ve made all these connections. I just want to say thank you to all of you and your support and sticking with me on this journey. Cheers

It’s been a while since seeing some Barred Owls. I could stare into their eyes for hours, even though it looks like they would steal my soul. Looking forward to another owl nesting season. In the mean time, it’s time to start planning for the Great Grays!
