LTTV 2025-2026 AWARDS SUMMARY
In the 2025-2026 school year, LTTV students participated in several media festivals and competitions.
In January 2026, we participated in the Student Silent Film Festival, held at the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove, where our short film entry was screened.
In April 2026, LTTV student Jay Jaffre won a Crystal Pillar (Student Production Award) from the Chicago/Midwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the Commercial category.
Also in April, at the 33rd Annual Midwest Media Educators Association Video Festival, LTTV did very well. We competed against students from over 40 other high schools in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. There were 17 categories of competition with 474 total entries.

5th place for “Catch the Rad” by Jay Jaffre
In the category of Demonstration (out of 21 entries):
2nd place for “How to Make Enchiladas” by Sophia Anaya
5th place for “How to Audition for a Radio Show” by Andrew Gallardo
In the category of Live Event - Non Sports (out of 26 entries):
4th place for “Six Foot Blonde” by Andrew Gallardo, Emily Schuler, Andrew Shepard, Jay Jaffre
In the category of Movie Trailer (out of 26 entries):
2nd place for “Lost Corridors” by Benjamin Gonzalez
In the category of Music Video (out of 30 entries):
2nd place for “This Vicious” by Jay Jaffre
In the category of School Promotion - Non Sports (out of 26 entries):
5th place for “Footloose Promo” by Andrew Gallardo and Andrew Shepard
In the category of Seven Day Challenge (out of 13 entries):
1st place for “REDESIGN” by Jay Jaffre, Emily Schuler, Gemma Mear, Sophia Anaya, and Augustine Vymyslicky
