From Oldham County KY Emergency Management:
Oldham County can expect two rounds of potentially impactful weather through Thursday. Gusty winds of 30–40 mph, with isolated gusts up to 45 mph, are expected this afternoon and tonight. Severe storms are possible overnight, primarily between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM Thursday, with damaging winds being the primary threat. A few tornadoes and hail cannot be ruled out.
Heavy rainfall is also a concern. Storms may produce 1–2 inches of rain, with isolated locations receiving 3–5 inches. Flash flooding is possible, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Safety Tips:
- Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, especially overnight. Do not rely solely on outdoor warning sirens.
- Charge phones, tablets, and backup batteries before going to bed.
- Identify your tornado safe place now, an interior room on the lowest floor away from windows.
- Never drive through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don't Drown. Flooding is especially dangerous at night when water depth is difficult to see.
- If you receive a Tornado Warning, take shelter immediately and do not wait to see the storm.
