Community Advisory: The City of La Porte is aware of a peaceful assembly which is set to convene at City Hall on Saturday, October 18, at 10:00 a.m. The assembly will begin their announcements at around 10:15 a.m., and then participants will begin walking east along the Fairmont Parkway sidewalks to Broadway. Any overflow will then spill onto Broadway, extending north toward Main Street. The event is anticipated to wrap up by noon. Attendance has the potential to bring increased streetside parking that morning, specifically near the City Hall area.

The La Porte Police Department will have law enforcement on hand to ensure public safety and maintain regular traffic flow along all roadways. At this time, no street or intersection closures are anticipated.
