After 10 incredible years, the Michael James Memorial will look a little different in 2027.

As our family prepares to welcome a new grandbaby in January 2027, we’ve decided to take a step back from hosting our annual live event this year. While the format is changing, our mission is not.

We are still committed to raising funds to help the youth of our community continue their stock show journeys and keep Michael James’ legacy alive.

For 2027, we will be selling 1,000 raffle tickets at $100 each, and every ticket purchased will include a complimentary Michael James Memorial hat as our way of saying thank you for your support.

Just as we’ve done for the past 10 years, we will draw tickets and personally call each winner directly.

We are excited for this new chapter and hope you’ll continue standing beside us as we honor Michael’s legacy by investing in the next generation. Your support has made a lasting impact over the years, and we couldn’t do it without this amazing community.

The Michael James Memorial is a HIGH ROLLER sponsor for casino night! This non-profit organization was established in 2015 to celebrate the life of a wonderful alumnus, Michael S. James. They are very active throughout the community and are one of THE MOST generous supporters of La Vernia. The Michael James Memorial holds an annual fundraiser the last Saturday of January each year.
