Sylvan Leaf Publishing was founded on April 21, 2007 as a means to publish the written works of Resin Doll collector and photographer sylvan_leaf ~ jaime. An early editor was a close friend and fellow writer and doll collector. She and sylvan_leaf ~ jaime would swap stories, illustrations and photographs of their separate collections.
At the time, sylvan_leaf ~ worked as a web designer, shipper, bookkeeper for the gifted CherryStreet ~ Sera at their company, CherryStreet Dolls, based in La Porte, Indiana and later in Charleston, West Virginia. Fellow collectors and clients always commented on the ethereal quality of sylvan_leaf ~ jaime's photographs and the short photo-stories and the fiction they inspired.
After CherryStreet ~ Sera and sylvan_leaf ~ jaime parted ways, the Resin Doll photo-journalist became inspired and began writing under the pen names: J.D.I. Navratil - Ybarra, J.L.I. Jorge, Gwynieve Thistlewaite, K.E. Mirablis, and most recently L’Vitae de la Lux. Under these names, the author wrote: Known Man, Unknown Woman, Dream of Reality, and A Pair of Owls. This quartet of novels became known as Leaves of Radiance.
While a student of English at Purdue University, the author was inducted into the International English Honors Society for academic and civic achievements. As a student he explored the often confusing lives of protagonists Lorenz, Solene, and Lanka. Throughout the stories, Lorenz is revealed to be a gifted spiritualist suffering from spiritual possession, Solene is revealed to be a gifted linguist suffering from a broken heart, and Lanka is revealed a gifted Poet & Novelist suffering from disassociative disorder.
In November of 2017, Author J.L.I. Jorge decided live up to the challenge of writing a novella or novel every two months. The December Novel remains secret and will be released soon. On Valentine’s Day of 2018, Author J.L.I. Jorge released the then called Leaves of Peace and Desire to friends and family after meeting with Word Crafters of La Porte, Indiana.
A milestone was reached in late February and early March: the Novella was sold for the first time under the new title: Leaves of Instinct, comprised of Leaf of Peace, an Historical Fantasy dealing with the foundation of long term relationships; and Leaf of Desire, a Science Fiction-High Fantasy (Sci-Fan) dealing with alcoholism, abusive relationships & decisions, religious conflict, naturalism, the creation of artifacts & relic weapons, and the consequences of time-leaping (time travel).
Also, a new ghost writing service was created and offered. Author J.L.I. Jorge is compassionate and understands that many clients dream of stories that are never written or printed. Set with a deadline of April 21st, Leaves of Equality, is a trilogy of novels comprised of Leaf of Factors, Leaf of Tangents, and Leaf of Sentience will tell the stories of Jelianka & L’Vitae's search for one another and discovery that they have an unknown and secretive triplet elder sister. They know this: she is gifted mathematician & physicist. What they don’t know is that there are a pair of androids created by their elder sister, named Lanka and Lia, that are hunting them down. Who will find who first?
