I tell clients all the time:

Colors and shapes have the power to influence how people feel. They can cause a total energy shift.

A curve can soften tension. A sharp line can add bite. Deep tones steady the mood; bright tones lift it. These choices shape the emotional atmosphere just as much as the message itself.

Most businesses fail to consider this when choosing colors to represent them.

Your colors might be cute or somewhat of an industry standard. But if they’re not intentional, strategic, and well defined, your audience may feel your business is unoriginal, unorganized or inauthentic.

I joked that Salt Lake City was the birthplace of “basic”… and somehow I left inspired. 😅✨

Because the truth is: you can’t have bold without basic.
Contrast is what makes things interesting in design and in cities.

Between the murals, the unexpectedly scandelous restaurant names, and the views that absolutely refuse competition, Salt Lake has its own quiet sense of rebelliousness that I whole heartedly appreciate.

A little beige on the surface… a lot of attitude underneath.

The best inspiration isn’t loud it’s hidden because its quality and quality is always worth working to get.
