I think music is the greatest art form that exists, and I think people listen to music for different reasons, and it serves different purposes. Some of it is background music, and some of it is things that might affect a person's day, if not their life, or change an attitude. The best songs are the ones that make you feel something.

Music makes us want to live. You don't know how many times people have told me that they'd been down and depressed and just wanted to die. But then a special song caught their ear and that helped give them renewed strength. That's the power music has.

Music is amazing. There's some metaphysical comfort where it allows you to be isolated and alone while telling you that you are not alone... truly, the only cure for sadness is to share it with someone else.

For those of you that like Christmas music (and who doesn't?) I found two new Albums that I love.

The first one is called Wrapped in Red by Kelly Clarkson. Most of the songs are traditional Christmas tunes, but she threw in a couple original Christmas songs. If this album doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, nothing will.

The second album I found is for all you rednecks and/or Duck Dynasty fans. It's called Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas. Some songs are sung by the entire Robertson family while some are sung by individual family members like Willie, Missy, Sady, Jep, and, yes, even Uncle Si. Some of the songs also feature Country music artists such as George Strait, Josh Turner, etc. It is a fun, lighthearted album, but you will still come away with a definite understanding of the true meaning of Christmas after listening.
