Today is your birthday, Dad, and I hope you’re living it up. ❤️

Just last week, Dillon was asking me about Pawpaw’s chickens, and it made me think about some pictures I hadn’t looked at in a very long time. Of course, he wanted to see the chickens too.

Watching this video again felt like an emotional ambush. I wasn’t prepared for how much I would miss you, or how quickly those little moments could bring everything back.

But as hard as it was, I’m so grateful I have it. Grateful for the little pieces of you that we get to hold onto and share with the next generation.

So take the pictures. Record the videos. Capture the ordinary moments. Because one day, those moments won’t feel ordinary anymore.

One day, they will be all you have. ❤️

I used to think about this all the time at my desk job.
