Santa’s Sober Cocoa
Up at the Pole where the night glows blue,
There’s a secret Santa’s been keeping too—
Not about gifts or a list checked twice,
But a change he made to keep life nice.
No more toddies in his Christmas mug,
No holiday rum for a midnight slug.
He traded the booze for something sweet,
A cup of cocoa, warm and neat.
The elves all cheer as the kettle sings,
Mrs. Claus adds tiny marshmallow rings.
His cheeks still blush, his laugh still booms,
Joy doesn’t need any spirits or fumes.
Now Santa soars through the starry night
Clear in mind and heart, feeling light—
Sipping cocoa as he rides the sky,
Sober, steady, and flying high.
So here’s to choosing what helps you glow,
To gentle nights and a softer snow.
If Santa can swap to a chocolate brew—
Maybe warm cocoa can warm you too.
