this is how an obesity board and menopause practitioner certified physician actually stocks her pantry.

muscle is a longevity organ, and most women under-eat protein. the target is 1.2–1.6 g/kg a day, which works out to about 25–30 g per meal. here's how I fill the gaps:

🐟 LINYUEYANG ahi yellowfin: 43 g per can (1 can a week, it's still tuna)
🥤 mindbodygreen grass-fed whey isolate: 25 g + 2.5 g leucine
🥣 cottage cheese: 14 g, my dessert with berries
🧀 Organic Valley Stringles: 7 g, the purse snack
🥛 Organic Valley Protein Plus milk: 50% more protein, 50% less sugar
💪 creatine chews: not protein, but my muscle and brain sidekick (3–5 a day)
💙 BodyHealth Perfect Amino: the backup plan, not the plan

food first. lift heavy. track muscle, not just weight.

Louisiana ranked dead last in health in 2025. We don't love that stat, so we're doing something about it.

We stopped by our neighbors at Foundation for Wellness for their grand opening and ribbon cutting in the Oil Center. They're doing real community health education, starting with kids. (Also, there were pancakes. We support this.)
Prevention > intervention. Whether it's a puberty kit for a 10-year-old or a metabolic plan for a 45-year-old, the goal is the same: catch it early and build better baselines.
Here's to raising the bar in Acadiana, together. 🪶

Leaking when you laugh, cough, sneeze, or jump isn’t something you just have to live with after babies or menopause.

Stress urinary incontinence is common, and most women never bring it up. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is one of the newer non-surgical options we’re watching closely.

How it works: we draw your blood, concentrate your own platelets, and inject them around the urethra to support collagen and tissue repair. No incisions, no synthetic material, little to no downtime.

What the research shows so far:
✨ In a sham-controlled randomized trial, 32% of women who received PRP reported subjective cure vs. 4% with placebo, with less leakage on pad testing at 6 months
✨ In an earlier pilot study, 80% of women reported improvement at 6 months
✨ No serious side effects reported in these studies

The honest part: the evidence is still early, and protocol matters. A trial using a single injection didn’t outperform placebo, while a two-session protocol did. PRP isn’t a replacement for pelvic floor therapy or surgery when those are the right fit, but for the right patient it can be a meaningful middle step.

If leaks are changing how you move, train, or live, let’s talk. Book a consult at the link in bio.

Unboxing something we’re really proud of. 📦✨

Peptides aren’t a trend here, and they’re never one-size-fits-all. Every protocol at Oizō is precision-based, grounded in science, and carefully chosen for you: your physiology, your metabolism, your goals.

No generic stacks. No guesswork.

Our physicians bring a deep understanding of how the body works and use peptides as one tool, a catalyst, alongside a complete plan for wellness, longevity, and athletic performance. Peptides complement hormone balance, muscle building, GLP-1 use, athletic performance, recovery, gut health, and aging concerns

Curious whether peptides fit your goals? Book a consultation. Link in bio. 🤍

Learn from everyone, grow into yourself.

Some of the best things I've learned came from the people around me: patients, colleagues, friends, even my kids. Growth rarely happens alone. It comes from staying curious and open to what others can teach us.

On a lighter note, a little self-care arrived today. I'm starting a 3-month trial of Xtressé hair gummies (with a bonus brush), and I'll be back to share how it goes.
