The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the agency that distributed grants to public TV and radio stations throughout the United States, announced on August 1 that it's going out of business. For KRVS, that leaves a $200,000 revenue shortfall for the year ahead. That's one reason we're raising money as never before, and we appreciate every one of you who's answered our urgent call for help.

A rule of thumb is that one of every ten public media listeners donates to their local station. We want to continue making Radio Acadie's programs available for anyone regardless of their ability to give. But for y'all who can, $10 per person could move KRVS a long way toward stability. Please consider doing what you can for radio that sounds like home. Merci!
