Pretty happy with the decision to put the aluminum wheels on the old farm truck! This looks like a different truck than it did when we first got it already! there’s plenty more to come! It’s a one owner 79k mile truck as well! Talk about a score!

Unfortunately Lt. Dan has bad news, after measuring due to my dads suspicion, it is a long bed and not a short bed. So no stepside bed in the future, however I still plan on trying to fix this truck up and make a super nice truck. It’s not everyday you find one with 4.11’s and a granny 4 speed and a 360-4 barrel carb. In other brighter news, hopefully soon with the better weather we’ve had, maybe we can get some more progress and content going regarding other projects.

I’m not a Chevrolet man personally, (guessing the Mopars made it hard to tell lol) but dads 78 Corvette is one car that just screams cool. Idk how anyone could not look at a C3 corvette and just think they are the epitome of a sporty muscle car. Dads has a small cam and has that sweet spot between too much and just right. We got out and cruised it a little yesterday and it’s such a good car minus the wore out seats. Hopefully we can get some carpet and seat install videos done soon to help make it a little more comfortable!

We’re really hoping to get to go and it not rain out this year, the Shade Tree family has missed the last 2 years due to rain, and it’s mine and my dads favorite thing to do on Fathers Day!

I’ll have to get some pics of parts and things that have been done off camera, but dads 1985 W150 he bought is an absolute jewel of a truck! 79k original miles and I believe it, perfect headliner, carpet is perfect besides being nasty from sitting! Engine fires up like a sewing machine and doesn’t smoke a drop! Talk about a good old work truck! I’m currently awaiting wheel cylinders because Summit sent the wrong ones, then it’ll be brakes to be done on it and it’ll be ready for a maiden voyage off a jug!

Today’s looking like possibly a slow day, waiting on parts for projects to make further progress on anything. Radiator is on the way for the 2nd gen, carb on the way for dad’s first gen, having to wait on a starter for Lt.Dan, the sucky part of the fixing cars game lol. Had a productive day yesterday, did rotors and pads on the girlfriends Challenger, got the wheels I wanted for Lt.Dan and lucked up and got all 4 polished and put up safe till I get ready to put them on. For what I gave for the wheels I couldn’t have bought the tires for the same price! I think we might have the parts to make a killer truck with just some serious effort!
