Rock For Light Radio Program

Rock For Light Radio Program SHOW IS ON HIATUS FOR NOW The 'Rock For Light' Radio Show is a celebration of over 45 years of punk rock history. On the www.outlawrenegade.com network.

Travis was a metalhead in high school until he heard the Black Flag "Nervous Breakdown" single in 1985. He had grown up with "New Wave Theater" on the TV as a child. Upon moving to Los Angeles at age 18, he began playing in bands such as Bulimia Banquet, Final Conflict and many others. He joined punk rock pioneers The Dickies in 1995 for about 15 years, recording two studio albums and multiple tou

rs. In the early 2000s, he performed with the reunited TSOL and well as playing drums behind HR of Bad Brains performing their material. After later living in Tacoma, Washington and reconnecting with the music scene, he has settled in Panama City Beach, Florida (a vacation spot when he was a young boy). He is set to host the 'Rock For Light' Radio Show, spinning 80s punk, hardcore and new wave. The show promises surprise guests to call in to talk about their experiences on recording some of the classic albums of the genre and performing in the burgeoning 80s punk rock scene. Stay tuned for information on the show's launch and more details.

Happy May everyone! Greetings from north Florida, USA. We are hoping to get the show going again this summer. The show is pre-recorded so we can't take requests when it's on, so as we start to piece together future shows..

BAND/SONG IDEAS???

Any 70s-80s punk rock bands/songs you would like to suggest? Not the obvious hits everyone knows, but looking for obscure ideas to keep the show interesting. Thanks for your support!!!

“I don’t wanna be buried in a pet cemetery…” — Joey Ramone

Today marks 25 years since punk rock lost one of its founding voices. Joey Ramone passed away on April 15, 2001, at age 49 after battling lymphatic cancer.

As the unmistakable voice of Ramones classics like “Blitzkrieg Bop,” “I Wanna Be Sedated,” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School,” Joey helped ignite a revolution built on raw energy and freedom. “He had the heart of the band,” guitarist Johnny Ramone once said.

Punk lost a legend, but the spirit never left. Hey ho, let’s go. Forever🕊️

Hoping to get the show up and running at least by the Summer. Stay tuned for more details.

Happy Birthday to Leonard Graves Phillips, The Dickies vocalist & my friend and bandmate for many years. I watched him overcome so much and blessed to have been able to work with him.

Greetings friends,
Today is my 69th birthday. If someone had told me I'd still be doing this at age 69, I would've laughed. Well, the joke's on me, I guess. You'll see the release of my book by this year's end and our final album next year. My gift to YOU. I want to thank you for all the years of support. I couldn't have done it without you.
