Check out this reel showcasing the mouthwatering desserts at the Maui Pineapple store, one of my clients! 🍍🍰 All their treats are served in the pineapple used to make them – talk about eco-friendly! Their pineapple soft serve is a must-try; it's literally just pineapple turned into soft serve, making it way better than Dole Whip which is all sugar with a little bit of pineapple. 🍦😋 Add honey or li hing mui for an extra burst of flavor – so ono!

Check out this whip tour of the Prince Kūhio Day event at Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center! 🎉🌺 From craft tables to the captivated crowd, and the incredible serenading us with their beautiful Hawaiian falsetto on stage. 🎤🌴 Funny how life works – I got paid by the same shopping center where I was once banned for a year as a kid! 😅 Won't go into details, but thought Iʻd share a fun fact.

Iʻve been flown out to a few places for business now, from the east coast to the west coast, but this one takes the cake by FAR!

Throwback to when I was flown out to Las Vegas to capture content with in the studio during their recording sessions! 🎶📸 Been a Fiji fan since keiki days, so this trip was so sick. ✈️ Even got to hear another artist I liked as a kid record a new song! 🤫 It was all in preparation for Sonic Hawaiʻi's grand opening. 🌺 Sonic Hawaiʻi discovered me out of the blue in the most random way and took a chance on me without even checking my credentials. I'm beyond grateful for their trust, as it has opened a lot of doors and made a lot of connections for Makakoa Media. Also grateful for mango cream slushes🥭 🥤

Fun Fact: I designed all but the original Sonic Hawaiʻi, Fiji, and Maoli graphic logos!😎

Had an amazing time behind the scenes at the Maui Chocolate Tour! 🍫🌿 Witnessed the harvesting of cacao pods, bagging dried beans, and replacing them with wet fermented beans for drying. Learned so much about the cacao process and it was a delight to be on the farm. 🚜🌱 My first job ever was working on a farm in Kula, so it feels like coming full circle! Grateful for these enriching experiences.

Taking a moment to reflect on my journey with videography. 🎥 I bought my first GoPro camera almost ten years ago. I feel incredibly blessed to have turned my passion into a full-time job that supports my family. ❤️🏠 However, in achieving this success, I've realized that I've sacrificed the time and passion I once had for creating videos just for me. It's a bittersweet realization, but it also serves as a reminder to find balance and nurture my creativity. 🔥 Here's a reel from over a year ago when I captured the mesmerizing blood moon lunar eclipse - a true testament of my love for videography as not a lot of people want to stare at a camera for hours and hours in the dark to get a 5 second video🫠 🌕

Had the privilege of shooting an event at QKC for Prince Kūhio Day. 📸🌺 The talented Hālau performed mesmerizing hula, leaving everyone in awe. Watching the hula kāne, led by , made me wish my parents put me in hula as a kid! It was such a beautiful experience and an honor to capture these moments. ✨

10/12/2021 Throwback to our first-ever PAID hotel stay! 🏨 My wife and I couldn't contain our excitement as we walked into the room. It may not seem like a big deal now, having stayed at so many, but at the time, it was a HUGE milestone for us at Makakoa Media. It makes me fondly look back at my terrified decision to drop out of college and start Makakoa Media 4 years ago.🌟 When I started Makakoa Media, I actually told people, out loud, that I would leverage my camera skills and work ethic to do cool s**t like this one day. This was one of those days that affirmed I was on the right path.

My imposter syndrome was so strong and I was so scared that I would somehow lose all of the progress I was making that I wouldnʻt share anything for fear that someone would take it away if they found out. I thought I had to operate in silence or people would wish for my failure, expose me for being a fraud and I would lose everything. It was such a paranoid "lack" mindset and it is hilarious looking back on it considering how hard I worked for everything.

Grateful for this journey and looking forward to more amazing experiences together! 💕
