Baker's Tip: If you are making Rye Bread, especially with caraway seeds, substitute the water with pickle juice. Trust me! - Shane

*** I also forgot to put yeast (or enough yeast in I don't know for sure). If you do that it is not completely wasted, it can be saved! I pulled my dough out after the first rise and nothing had happened. You can put three tablespoons of warm water in a bowl and then your required amount of yeast (2 1/4 tsp in my case) and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then you can incorporate it into your dough, and adjust the flour as needed. Then you treat that as your first rise. It just requires some extra time.
