There’s something cozy and comforting about a BASIC rainy day. Or is that just me? ☔️ I can certainly do without the threatening storms and tornadoes though! Living in tornado alley with kids in Southern Illinois and my nephew in Missouri, I find myself watching the storm channel for hours. 🫣 But a good, basic rainy day, I’m here for.

What kind of hydrangeas do you grow? If you’re not currently growing hydrangeas you should! They provide year round enjoyment.

It was the perfect morning on the patio to enjoy my coffee and read. The weather is absolutely gorgeous today here in the Chicago area. I love spending time on the patio when the weather calls for it! ☀️I usually grab a book to accompany my coffee, while listening to the birds. Today seemed like the perfect day to start rereading this beautiful little book my sister gave me a while back. It’s all about gardening for the birds. It’s beautifully illustrated and is filled with great information. It’s also the prettiest little thing to share on the coffee table, and would make such a nice gift for the gardener or bird lover. 🌳

Now that we’re back Up North, it officially feels like Summer!🌳 ☀️ We started our day with a little cabin coffee, followed by a trip uptown, which included the candy shop, antiquing, garage sales filled with vintage, groceries and worms for fishing 🎣. Oh, and the Eagle is nesting in a tree above the driveway. 🦅

Can you believe I almost didn’t “run in” to Goodwill to see if there was “anything good”?! I have a major crush on this pretty blue haul.💙 Most is Johnson Bros. England, and I’m smitten. At first I thought it was Royal Copenhagen, which would of been a major score. Looking forward to finding these pretty pieces a forever home. 💙
