As you know we love our trips to the Bellagio Las Vegas to see the Conservatory. The summer edition was breathtaking. It was so much fun to see the animals and their children.

This is free to the public. It is an amazing undertaking. It takes about 25 minutes to see it all. Then, off to brunch at Sadelle’s, which overlooks the Conservatory. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas.

I had the privilege of hanging out with my friend, legendary voice actor Vincent Tong and his wife, Aurelie. Vincent is just about the coolest guy ever, and I thank you both for allowing me to be part of the family for a day.

Vincent has appeared in too many feature animations and serials to mention. They both were at Comic Con where Vincent was on numerous panels and appeared at many other events.

He plays Kai in Ninjagos, and has for the past 15 seasons. Look him up on IMDB and see which of the many characters you know and love, that he has played. He is also on the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender in episode 4! This time as an actor!

Vincent is going to be on A Walk With Walt Podcast later this year! He is so funny and can impersonate just about everyone. I can’t wait!

The much anticipated 2nd episode on Comic-Con International is now available! Listen to the stories from one of the legendary founders, Mike Towry tell you stories that you’ve never heard.

There really is no books on the origin stories. Mike was there and was part of it. Maybe we should write a book and take it from oral history to the written word. You will hear step by step the stories of Mike, Richard Alf and Shel Dorf. This will be at least a 6 part podcast.

Did any of you know that Mike and other early CC contributors were featured in a Jack Kirby story? They were the 5 String Mob and Mike and the boys take on Superman himself. You can find this in “Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen, issues #144 and 145. Can you imagine what it must be like to be immortalized by The King himself?

Pete Block says, “This is a story that NEEDS documentation and passing down to the next generation of comic fans. “

This is one of the most important podcasts that A Walk With Walt Podcast has published. We have with us Mike Towry one of the original founders of Comic-Con International Mike was 15 years old. There are stories here that have never been told. There are others involved with the start up of Comic Con, but we will focus on three: Mike Towry, Richard Alf and Shel Dorf. Shel was the one who first came up with the concept.

Mike’s stories are incredible. He will tell you how Jack Kirby invented a comic book character based on Mike. You can find him in Jimmy Olsen issues 144 and 145. And this is only one small part of Mike’s story!
