Photos from my interview with the LEGO design team behind the upcoming Dragon Ball set - Shenron & Goku! 🐉

One of the best opportunities presented by the LEGO Fan Creator Summit is the opportunity for private interviews with designers. This is our chance too to get up close with sets before anyone else and get a hands on look at them. Jay Ong | Jay's Brick Blog was kind enough to let me join him for this interview.

This set looks incredible in person and it’s great to see that the team was so passionate about the manga and anime it was based on. Get the details here:

Have you ever wondered how new LEGO elements are created? Senior designer Nicola Belfiore explains the process of revising a new piece (in this case, Goku’s iconic hair) to match both the look of Akira Toriyama’s artwork and the LEGO standard.

I found it really interesting to see these different sketch models in person - LEGO designers actually create these upscaled models of new LEGO Minifigure pieces before production to really study them in detail.

Thanks to Jay Ong | Jay's Brick Blog for allowing me to sit in on his interview with the design team behind the new Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku set at the LEGO Fan Creator Summit in Billund, Denmark! 🇩🇰

That’s a wrap on the LEGO Fan Creator Summit 2026! It’s always a huge honor to be welcomed to Billund, Denmark by the LEGO Group and after 3 years I can honestly say this has been my best visit yet!

There are some truly exciting reveals coming and content I can’t wait to share. I’m incredibly grateful to the LEGO Group for giving me these opportunities - I’m truly living the dream!

Always gotta grab a pic with this guy!

The woods in Billund are magical ✨

So many incredible creators in this picture! I’m so lucky to be part of such an amazing community.

Floh shopping is always a must 🛍️

They built me as LEGOLAND minilander!

There I am on the right! My minilander will move from this group but stay in the park indefinitely.

So grateful for everything Jordan does to make this event spectacular.

It was awesome meeting Artur Godlewski and becoming friends over the days of the summit.

More LEGO House!

Łukasz Górecki has to be one of the best and craziest guys in the community - the LEGO brother I never knew I had. See you someday in Poland!

These guys make it all possible - thank you John and José!

This is the exclusive LEGO Retro Video Game Batman minifigure based on the 1989 NES Batman video game!! The LEGO Group left this awesome surprise in my hotel room as a gift for attending the first ever Fan Creator Summit in Billund, Denmark!

This minifigure is also available in the Switch 2 version of the new LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight game. As someone who’s been playing the PS5 version of the game, I thought I was going to miss out on this figure so this is a great surprise.

Thank you to LEGO and LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight for this perfect gift!
