Netflix is cool, but nothing beats a day at Disney World.

Sometimes when I’m hungry I think about getting this sandwich at Animal Kingdom…
Then I remember I’m 1,400 miles away. 😢
The Harambe Market Harissa Chicken Wrap is chilled tandoori rotisserie chicken with harissa mayo wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, served with fries. It’s got a mild spice and just enough kick to make me think about it long after I’ve left the park.
$10.99 worth of Disney food that I would absolutely be eating right now if I could.
Someone go eat one for me please!

Disney knows exactly how to hit us with the nostalgia!
If you remember the Barker Bird that used to greet guests outside Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll want to look up inside Beak and Barrel because Rummy is bringing that piece of Disney history back!
Rummy is the first mate and quartermaster of the tavern, and his look is a nod to the original Barker Bird that was a familiar sight outside Pirates until 2006. It’s little details like this that make the new Beak and Barrel feel like it belongs in Adventureland. 🏴‍☠️

The most magical 55 years. Happy Birthday, Magic Kingdom! 🏰✨
On this day 55 years ago, October 1, 1971, the gates of Magic Kingdom opened for the very first time.
There was no Disney’s Hollywood Studios (MGM). No EPCOT. No Animal Kingdom. No Disney Springs as we know it. Just a brand-new Magic Kingdom, two resort hotels, and a dream that had been years in the making.
Guests arriving that first morning stepped into six lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and the brand-new Liberty Square. They rode opening-day classics, explored Cinderella Castle, and experienced a very different kind of Disney vacation. Even getting to the park was part of the adventure, with guests traveling from the parking area toward the Magic Kingdom by monorail, tram or boat.
And while Walt Disney wasn’t there to see his Florida dream open, his brother Roy O. Disney was. Roy had stayed on to see Walt’s final project become a reality, and later that month he officially dedicated Walt Disney World in his brother’s honor.
55 years later, so much has changed.
And yet, walking down Main Street, looking up at Cinderella Castle, hearing the music and watching that first glimpse of the park come into view...
That feeling is still there.
Happy 55th Birthday to the most magical place on Earth. ❤️🏰

Happy National Coffee Day, Disney style ☕️
If I’m at Disney, there’s a pretty good chance I have a cold brew in my hand. These are a few of my favorites:
☕️ The Epic Cold Brew Spectacular at Epic Eats in Hollywood Studios. It’s a vanilla-flavored Joffrey’s cold brew with cookie butter cold foam, gold “treasure” sprinkles, and the cutest little chocolate Indiana Jones hat on top. Because apparently coffee is better when it wears a tiny hat.
☕️ The Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Galaxy’s Edge. Joffrey’s cold brew topped with sweet cream cheese and chocolate puffs. It’s one of those Disney creations that looks questionable but trust me it’s delicious!
☕️ The Specialty Cold Brew Flight at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom. You get the classic, matcha, and ube cold brews, and my favorite of the three is definitely the UBE. Give me that ube cold brew and I’m a very happy person.

I took this photo on the last day of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama in January 2025, and I remember thinking I should probably take one more picture of Cementosaurus.
I’m so glad I did. 💔
Because just a couple of months later, he was gone.
Cementosaurus wasn’t a headliner attraction. He wasn’t something you waited in line for. He was just one of those wonderfully weird pieces of Disney that became part of the landscape and part of the memories.
For years, this giant dinosaur stood at the entrance to Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama, welcoming guests into one of the most wonderfully ridiculous corners of Animal Kingdom. You could literally walk underneath him. He was part of the fabric of DinoLand U.S.A. from its early days, and somehow that made him feel permanent.
Until he wasn’t.
Disney demolished Cementosaurus in March 2025 as the area began its transformation into Tropical Americas. I know Disney is always changing. I know new stories are coming. I know the parks have never been meant to stay exactly the same.
But sometimes I look back at photos like this and think about how sad it is that something so familiar is just… gone.
There are probably thousands of people who have a photo under this dinosaur. Kids who thought he was the coolest thing ever. Parents who watched their kids run underneath him. Families who never imagined they were looking at him for the last time.
And now he’s just a memory.
Maybe that’s what makes Disney nostalgia hurt so much. You don’t always know you’re living a moment for the last time until it’s already gone.
Goodbye, Cementosaurus. You were weird, you were wonderful, and you deserved one more picture. 💔

I aspire to be as chill as the EPCOT France lady.

Just sitting there with her w**e, completely unbothered by whatever chaos is happening around her.

I want that energy in everyday life. Less rushing, less worrying about things I can’t control, more sitting back and enjoying where I am right now.

She may be a window display in EPCOT, but she’s got the life lesson down!
