A newly released Anaheim government report reveals that city officials are considering advancing plans for a transportation connection between the city’s regional train station and major destinations in the Anaheim Resort district, home to Disneyland.

Officials are proposing a $2.4 million consulting contract, supported by a $2.7 million funding allocation, to help advance the project through a potential public-private partnership.

The Anaheim City Council is scheduled to consider the proposal on Tuesday, October 13th. If approved, the proposed consulting work would span approximately two years.

While the project could eventually make traveling between regional trains and the Disneyland area easier, no specific route, transportation system, or opening date has been confirmed.

Marvel isn’t finished with the undead just yet!

During today’s New York Comic Con presentation, Marvel announced plans for three new Marvel Zombies specials coming to Disney+ over the next three years.

The newly revealed projects include:

🧟 The Winter Soldier — 2027

🧟 The Fist of Khonshu — 2028

🧟 The Last Guardian — 2029

The announcements signal that Marvel plans to continue expanding its zombie-filled animated universe, with new stories arriving annually through 2029.

Florida records show Universal City Development Partners is seeking approval for a temporary private aircraft operating site in Orange County under the name “Epic Universe Airport.” An October 6th notice states that the Florida Department of Transportation intends to issue the temporary registration.

The designation doesn’t mean Universal is building an airport runway through Epic Universe. Temporary airports are limited to fewer than 30 consecutive days of use and no more than 10 aircraft operations per day.

The published notices don’t identify the aircraft, operating dates or purpose. They do not confirm drone testing, a new show or passenger service. For now, exactly what Universal plans to use the site for remains unclear.

Disney Cruise Line has revealed that its newest ship, the Disney Believe, will embark on its maiden voyage on December 18th, 2027, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida!

Following its inaugural sailing, the ship will offer four- and five-night Bahamian cruises. Disney also unveiled several new onboard experiences inspired by fan favorites, including Frozen, Moana, Encanto and Tangled.

The Disney Believe will become the latest addition to Disney’s growing cruise fleet.

Disney+ is getting ready for its biggest live sporting event yet!

Disney announced today that Super Bowl LXI will stream live on Disney+ on February 14th, 2027, marking the first time the streaming service will carry the NFL championship game.

All U.S. Disney+ subscribers will be able to watch the game at no additional cost beyond their regular subscription, with both English and Spanish broadcasts available.

The game will also air on ABC and ESPN, marking ABC’s first Super Bowl broadcast since 2006 and ESPN’s first time producing the event. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will lead the coverage from SoFi Stadium in California.

Disney+ will also stream two Monday Night Football games this season, beginning October 26th with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Philadelphia Eagles.

The announcement marks another major step in Disney’s push to bring live sports and major television events to its streaming platform.

Disney and Netflix are getting a little more friendly.

Disney has reportedly struck a new non-exclusive licensing deal that will bring a selection of Disney owned movies and shows to Netflix, including some titles previously associated closely with Disney+.

Among the biggest additions, Seasons 1 and 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians are set to arrive on Netflix in the U.S. on October 4th while also remaining available on Disney+. All five Ice Age movies are included in the deal, along with shows including Will Trent, Felicity and Shifting Gears.

Pixar is getting in on the action too. Elio is expected to make its way to Netflix in 2027 following its Disney+ streaming window.

The deal is non-exclusive, meaning Disney isn’t abandoning Disney+ or handing these properties over to Netflix. Instead, it’s another example of Disney becoming increasingly willing to license some of its content to competing streaming platforms.
