As a lifelong Disney adult stepping into Epic Universe for the first time… I have THOUGHTS 😂🎢✨

This isn’t hate! I genuinely had fun, some of the tech/interactions blew my mind, but there were also a few things i never heard anyone talk about so here’s my takes hot takes 👇🏼
🍄 Mario & Luigi meet and greet is one of the coolest character interactions .Their eyes blink, they talk, they interact insanely immersive. BUT the queue is confusing unless you know the strategy. They come out every hour, but the line opens about 20 minutes before and fills FAST. If meeting them matters to your kids, prioritize it early.
🍄 The snacks.. I was underwhelmed 😭 Some felt more “novelty over flavor.” The red shell bread from Yoshi’s Snack Island tasted like Chef Boyardee wrapped in bread and I still haven’t recovered from the price.
🍄 Biggest recommendation? Don’t run to Mario World first. That portal becomes absolute chaos at park open. We walked right into Dark Universe while everyone else sprinted to Nintendo. Mario World at NIGHT though 🤌🏻
🍄 Nobody warned me about the STAIRS 😭 Every queue, every land, every turn… more stairs. We logged 12 flights in one day. Elevators exist, but expect waits. Definitely something to plan for if stairs are difficult for you.
🍄 Biggest difference from Disney for me was the team member atmosphere. Everyone was efficient and lines moved quickly, but I missed the little magical interactions Disney cast members are known for. Universal felt much more operational and efficiency-focused.

Okay yall I was obsessed with this whole outfit and our new charm necklace design ended up being the perfect finishing touch with this tee shirt dress. I love creating designs that you can wear in an infinite amount of ways and this necklace hits that mark.

I didn’t expect five minutes on a bench to hit me this hard. At the end of our park day, while we were wandering toward the exit, I made a beeline to sit with Walt. And the second I sat down beside him, I could feel my eyes filling with tears. I kept squeezing them shut trying to hold it together because somehow this moment felt too big to explain out loud. I think part of me has always been scared to share how deeply I feel things. Sometimes when something means this much to me, there’s this fear that other people won’t understand it. So i stay quiet about it. But I know I can’t be the only one who feels this way. Because Disney has never just been rides or snacks or a vacation spot to me. It’s my sanctuary. The place where the weight I carry for everyone else gets quieter for a little while. The place where my shoulders finally unclench and I can just be. Sitting beside Walt, even knowing it’s only a statue, I found myself silently thanking him. For having a dream. For creating stories and characters that carried me through childhood and still comfort & teach me as an adult. For the memories tied to my husband, our son, my friends, my family. For building something that has connected generations of people who just needed a little magic to hold onto. It all hit me at once. And for a moment, it felt overwhelming in the most beautiful way. So if you’ve ever cried over a place, a character, a song, or a moment that other people might not fully understand. you’re not alone. Feeling things deeply is not something to be embarrassed by. Sometimes it just means your heart recognized something special before your words could catch up.
