He is such an icon that welcomes spooky season at Walt Disney World. 🎃🏰

Seeing the Headless Horseman ride down Main Street, U.S.A. is one of those Disney moments that instantly gives me chills.

The lights are low, Cinderella Castle is glowing in the distance, the crowd goes silent and then you hear the sound of the horse coming down Main Street. 🐎

✨ It’s the PERFECT way to set the mood for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

Disney Halloween just hits differently. 🧡

And one of my favorite tips: you don’t need a regular park ticket that day! Your party ticket allows you to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 PM, even though the official event doesn’t start until 7 PM. 🙌🏻

If I’m not staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, my next pick is almost always Disney’s Yacht Club Resort or Disney’s Beach Club Resort. ⚓️🌴✨

They’re easily my second favorite Walt Disney World resorts, and one of the biggest reasons is the location.

Both resorts are in the EPCOT resort area, which means you can:

✨ Walk to EPCOT through International Gateway
🚤 Take a Friendship Boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
🚡 Access the Disney Skyliner near EPCOT’s International Gateway
🌙 Walk to Disney’s BoardWalk for dining, entertainment and nighttime strolls

And then there’s Stormalong Bay, one of the best pools at Walt Disney World. 😍

With a sandy-bottom pool, lazy river, waterslide and huge pool complex, it’s one of the biggest reasons I recommend Yacht Club and Beach Club for families who want to build resort and pool time into their Disney vacation.

The two resorts also have completely different vibes:

Disney’s Beach Club Resort feels bright, relaxed and coastal with a classic New England beach-house style. 🌊

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort feels a little quieter, more polished and upscale while still being very family-friendly. ⚓️

If you’re looking for a Disney Deluxe Resort near EPCOT, easy transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, access to the Disney Skyliner, amazing dining and one of the best pools at Disney World, Yacht Club and Beach Club are SO hard to beat.

They’re especially great for families who love EPCOT, want midday resort breaks, or don’t want to rely on buses for every park day.

For me, the location + transportation + Stormalong Bay is what makes these two resorts some of the best places to stay at Walt Disney World. 🏰✨

It’s a small world after all… and yes, I’m riding it at least once every Walt Disney World vacation. 😂✨

Is it the fastest ride at Magic Kingdom? Nope. The most thrilling? Definitely not. But “it’s a small world” at Walt Disney World is one of those classic Disney attractions that just feels like Disney. The music, the nostalgia, the tiny details, the iconic clock tower — it’s a must-do on our Magic Kingdom itinerary. 🎶🌎🏰

And this Disney ride feels extra special to me because my mom remembers riding “it’s a small world” at the 1964–1965 New York World’s Fair before it eventually made its way to Walt Disney World. 🥹🤍 There’s something so special about a Disney attraction that has been creating family memories for generations and now I get to experience that same tradition with my own family.

Some Disney rides are optional. “it’s a small world” is tradition. ✨
