Everything in Disneyland is so close and takes a fraction of the time that it would in Disney World!

Park hopping in Disneyland? About a minute. In Disney World? Minimum 25 mins, but closer to 45 mins or longer, depending on where you are going.

Getting from your off site hotel, through security, and into Disneyland? 15 minutes. Getting into a Disney World park, even from an onsite resort? It’s probably gonna be longer than 15 minutes lol.

I spent the first 30 years of my life being a Disneyland addict. BUT… I’ve been a Disney World local for almost two years now. And I’ve gotten more used to Disney World than I realized!

Both days I was in Disneyland and California Adventure, I kept thinking I needed way more time than I actually did.

Apparently, you can take the girl out of Disney World, but you can’t take the Disney World out of the girl.

I think I’ve turned into more of a Floridian than I realized…

I arrived in Southern California today for my Disneyland trip! I was a little nervous about having to drive around here. I haven’t been here in forever, so I’m rusty on how to get around. I was also a little scared for the aggressive driving. I’ve driven in Southern California many times since I was 16, and I would always have to adapt to a much more aggressive driving style.

Turns out driving around central Florida is a bit more intense than Southern California. I was the aggressive driver! Not them! 🤣

If you're visiting Disney World this summer, then you are going to want a place to sit down and eat in air conditioning. . . just trust me on that. So where should you head in each of the parks?

I'm going to Disneyland!!! I said I would make it to the 70th Anniversary celebrations, and just in time, I'm going to make it for the very end. I may be a Disney World local now, but I only started coming to Disney World five years ago. Before that, I was a die-hard lifelong Disneyland fanatic!

It's been over four years since I was last in Disneyland, and while I'm super excited for this trip, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous as well. Hopefully once I'm back, it'll all come back to me, just like I never left!

Oh, and I am ridiculously excited for a real churro! And a pickle!

Last night I celebrated my 50th time to Walt Disney World, just this year! I love being a local more than I can even begin to put into words.

Last year was my first full year as Disney local and I knew I went a lot, but I didn’t keep track of how many times. This year I decided to actually keep a running tally.

In case anyone is curious, here’s a breakdown of how many times I’ve been to each of the parks so far in 2026…

Epcot: 29
Magic Kingdom: 19
Hollywood Studios: 10
Animal Kingdom: 6
