Transport yourself back in time on this week’s show to the Summer of 1967, a turning point in pop culture that represented a social convergence driven by free-thinking, hippie fashion, political upheaval, sexual freedom, drug use, and creative expression. The Summer of Love had a special look and a special feel, but above all, it had a special sound. We commemorate that historic summer with the AM radio hits that contributed to this cultural revolution. Catch our “Summer of Love 1967 AM Radio Show” this Saturday afternoon at 2, with re-broadcasts on Sunday night at 6 and Tuesday night at 10 only on McNeese Radio, KBYS 88.3, and streaming at kbys.fm.

The playlist of '70s hits for our DISCO NIGHTS blowout gala is powered by KBYS Lake Charles! We love having McNeese's community radio station as a production partner.
The event is June 19-21 at Southlake Theater and is wall-to-wall with dancing, laughs, singing, and food. You can even dance right along with the cast on the big light-up floor!
DISCO NIGHTS celebrates LCLT's 100th anniversary. Get tickets or a table at ci.ovationtix.com/36133/production/1276060 today!
Meanehile, KBYS' John Bridges and David Wynn are busy curating the songs that will get the performers — and you, the audience members! — out on the dance floor all night.
