I had Yesterday off, so I did something productive and painted. As crawfish season is ending I thought I should paint one while I still remember what they look like. For my yankee friends- this is not a lobster!

I knew there would be a lot of details, in it. Any thing in nature has lots of details and strange colors. Maybe I should have boiled it, then I could paint it all red. 😂😂😂

My first painting after a long time off from painting. I chose to go back to my drafting days and do an elevation drawing of my childhood home. This is how it was when we moved in. It was constructed in 1958. There were no bushes, or flowers. Actually there was no grass, but dirt is so boring, so I added some. Most of the houses in the neighborhood were pretty much the same. After the passing of our parents we were able to sell it to our niece. So it kinda remains in the family.

It is a mixture of ink and watercolor. I had finished drawing in, almost all the bricks. When I was finishing up my pen leaked and flowed under the triangle. It was ruined. I started all over, from a blank sheet of paper. Remember what I said about ink. It is permanent and unforgiving.
