There is something I wanted to share with everyone that has my heart so full this morning. Sorry this may be a little long.... smile emoticon
This morning I was looking

at business cards and a ton of different designs trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go in. I was thinking to myself there is no way I can make a decision here...as im scrolling I see one that made my heart jump. It had a big butterfly printed across the front. I immediately knew that was going to be the card and logo for my makeup artist work! A butterfly so cheesy right.... but it's because that butterfly represents the person who helped me see Gods calling for me and it represents what I strive to help the women I work with feel. In January of last year my Aunt Val was laying in a hospital bed dying of cancer. It was unexpected and surreal. The family took shifts staying the night with her and keeping her company in her last few weeks. For anyone who knew her she was still a blast to hang out with. Cancer never broke her spirit. One of my Aunts last request from me was "Jessie can you give me a makeover?! I want you to do my hair, makeup, go buy me an outfit and get me out of this bed". Now the furthest we could go was the cafeteria but my last full day with her was one of the best I've ever had. She was so happy and it was like a breath of fresh air had been breathed into her ailing body. She smiled from ear to ear and had a blast posing in front of the camera. She told me i had a gift for making women feel beautiful. Sometimes it is so so hard to see the way we are blessed in the midst of so much sorrow. God truly blessed me with that time I got spend with her and continues to bless me with each persons makeup I get to do and heart I get to touch. My aunt loved butterflies it was her signature thing and God sends us one at the perfect time to remind us of her now and then. I could write stories about that but I'll keep it short! smile emoticon
Every woman who leaves me I want to feel confident and beautiful from the inside out. I am so thankful for my clients and the opportunity I get to help them feel beautiful! One day I hope to have a charity that can help cancer patients young and old feel beautiful by offering in hospital makeovers! I've got a long way to go but know one day I will get there!

A complete whirlwind of a week… and one I’ll never forget.

Shepherd turned ONE 🥹
A house bursting at the seams with family.
Hosting all week, cooking, celebrating, and rolling straight through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I am tired 🙈
I have approximately five billion loads of laundry to fold 😵‍💫
But my heart is so full ☺️🤍

In all the exhaustion, I’m always reminded that this is part of the gift.
The opportunity to serve the people God has placed in our lives.
To open our home, gather together, and love well.

In the middle of the chaos, we were anchored by the true spirit of Christmas:
God’s love, the birth of Jesus, and the reminder that serving one another is love in action. ❤️

Blessed to be tired. Grateful beyond words.
Quite literally the queen of Christmas chaos 👑

Love showed up ❤️

This time last year, everything felt full of anticipation.
Now it’s full of you. 🥹
One year later, we can’t imagine life without you.
There are no words big enough for how much we love you or how much joy you’ve brought into our lives.
You are the light of our family, the softness, the laughter, the magic. Our little Christmas-time miracle.
