The Rev has handed the baton over to Joey Edge (who's been working with the Rev for a few years now) and Waylon Fulford this season. Join them tonight as the undefeated Tigers host Madison County. For nearly 40 years, one voice has been synonymous with Columbia Tiger Football.

Friday nights began with Reverend I.L. Williams asking Tiger Nation, “Who will ascend to the mountaintop?” And when the Tigers took care of business, we all knew what was coming before he even said it:

“How sweet it is!”

Last Friday night marked the first time in nearly four decades that Rev wasn’t on the call for the Tigers. Through generations of players, coaches and fans, through unforgettable wins and heartbreaking losses, Rev was there telling the story of Columbia Football over the airwaves.

Nearly 40 years. Countless Friday nights. One unmistakable voice.

As Rev steps away from the microphone, the entire Columbia Tiger family simply wants to say THANK YOU. Thank you for your service, your dedication, your passion and the love you’ve shown this program and this community for nearly four decades.

We wish you nothing but happiness in a well-earned retirement, Rev. You may be retired from the booth, but you will forever be the Voice of the Tigers.

And while a legendary chapter has closed, Tiger Football is still on the air. Tune in every Friday night on 94.3 The Lake as Joey Edge and Waylon Fulford carry on the tradition and bring you all the action of Columbia Tiger Football.

Her death came after in May 2026 she announced she was canceling a Las Vegas show and said she’d been undergoing treatment for kidney stones for several years.

OK, Lake listeners, here's an update for you this morning (Friday). Since late yesterday (Thursday, 8/13/26) afternoon, our studios north of Lake City have been experiencing an Internet outage. This unfortunately has taken the station off the air, along with two of our sister stations. AT&T is supposedly working on the problem, but our Internet is still out. Hopefully, this service will be restored soon, but we are at the mercy of AT&T here, so we don't have any estimate of when that might be. We spent two hours yesterday evening with their "customer disservice" line, but got zero answers concerning the outage. Anyway, if you need weather or other information, please tune to one of our other stations that have been unaffected by this outage: Mix 106-5 or The Big 98, while we wait for AT&T to finally restore our service. We regret any inconvenience, but we are waiting for AT&T just like you are here...
