🐾”Breeding is not for the faint of heart “🩵
That’s something I’ve always heard and many of you have heard me say. Why? Because Its true!
Breeding is not just made up of puppies, sunshine ☀️ and rainbows 🌈 (ok some of it is) but it’s mostly made of up of blood 🩸(and other bodily fluids), sweat 💪, tears. 😢 and sometimes heart break 💔 .
A Tale of 2 Pups:
💚green collar male and 💜 purple collar female were both born a little premature looking (tiny birth weight, weak suckle reflex, etc).
🍼Additional feedings and supplemental care were given round the clock to both pups in hopes to help them catch up to their siblings.
🎢 Improvements, back sliding and then gains were made by both. The ups and downs, the worry and joy, the sleep deprivation and the small victories made for quite a roller coaster ride.
😞Despite doing everything we could, 💚green collar male could never catch up and continued to lack the passion to thrive. Sadly, He passed peacefully over the 🌈 🌉 . Nature has other plans for him so until we meet again… Rest easy little dude. 🙏
🌶️ After several days of sleepless nights for me and supplemental care for her, 💜 purple collar female developed into the spiciest little potato 🥔 and has continued to thrive. 🤩 🥰
she now pushes her big brothers out of the way and nurses all on her own! 💪
