🎥7 hot tips for a successful production. Which of these do you already do?👇

1. Create a detailed shotlist in the weeks leading up to the shoot and run through details of each shot BEFORE you get to the set.

2. Plan dedicated time to prepare and set-up gear you’ll need for the shoot. Include this time into the main production timeline.

3. When on set, wear black and muted colors to become a part of the behind-camera-background. Avoid becoming a distraction to your talent while they are filming or being photographed.

4. Make sure the set is easy for talent to navigate. Have a clear path (with no obstructions) in all the areas they will be moving around in.

5. Test the on-set talent experience. Sit where the talent is going to be. Trace their movements and run through it yourself to make sure the set is optimal.

6. Direct the talent by physically meeting them where they are. If they are sitting down, kneel down next to them instead of standing over them. Be conscious of ways your body language and energy might be intimidating or dominating.

7. Avoid shooting on Mondays!! Not only are Monday’s better as a prep day, they are also low energy days when the crew are recovering from the weekend. Shoot Tuesday and onwards to also avoid problems with picking up rentals or storing gear.

Starting with the ARRI mini we shot most of this spot wearing the Venus Laowa 15mm Macro lens. With the Versa QZP being right in front of the lens we built a rig to mate the camera to it. This allowed the POV of the Arri to follow the product through its life from purchase, shipping, delivery and end up on .zorilla as he skates off into the sunset.
