Renkus-Heinz never backs down from a challenge. In fact, our loudspeakers are designed for it. Difficult acoustics in a super reverberative space resulted in muffled and hard-to-understand audio. With an expert touch, our was tailored exactly to the room, focusing sound directly on the audience, so every word and note is crystal-clear. Now, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Want to see the objective difference? Check out the graph showing the ETC before and after the OmniBeam was configured — both blue (before) and yellow (after) are getting the exact same level of direct sound from the exact same mic position, but there's about 20 dB less reverberant energy in the room, netting an astounding 20 extra points of STI!

Oslo's Byens Tak is a breathtaking event space that offers panoramic views of the cityscape and surrounding fjords. By day, the venue functions as a co-working space and hosts professional meetings, requiring flawless speech intelligibility. By night, it transforms into an atmospheric bar and club, demanding powerful, immersive sound for DJ sets and live performances.

For a flexible, high-quality sound system that overcame the venue's unique architectural challenges, AV distributor Benum Norway specified two Renkus-Heinz IC Live Gen5 column arrays, complemented by two SA118S subwoofers.

“The IC Live Gen5 models are powerful yet incredibly discreet. We could color-match them to the venue’s walls, making them almost invisible,” Benum's Daniel Glaister notes. “With beam steering, we could direct the sound exactly where it needed to be, avoiding problem areas and ensuring speech clarity as well as high-energy sound for DJ performances.”
