It's been a minute since I've felt well enough to get into cosplay. These were from Long Beach Pirate Invation
My partnerd and I decided his sister-in-law and nieces needed to experience a Ren Faire environment at least once in their lives and to say they were hooked is an understatement. Sadly my health tanked even more after this, so we haven't been able to make it to any more faires' this year, and unfortunately not a lot of faires' are ADA compliant down in SoCal, so if I needed any of my other mobility aids, I'd be very limited in which areas, if any at all, I could explore. Thankfully though this one was on a peninsula that had a paved pathway and I only needed my cane that day, but I could definitely see anyone using a wheelchair or walker having an issue as there were some gathering areas with actors that were in grassy areas. But it was a fun day in the sun nonetheless! Just be sure to bring your sunscreen!

A child is with them. Why is a child with this band of heathens? She listens to his story. She can't help but love this creature that the group surrounds. He tells them a story of a nymph that became a god. When he is done everyone in the group debates. He gets up and walks away from the adults. There is something about this child. He goes into the forrest. She follows to make sure he doesn't get hurt, but he as he goes deeper she realizes he seems to know where he is going. As she turns to leave she hears him say, "Lilith, please don't leave. Not again" She turns to the child. He has turned around and is looking right at her! They lock eyes. Gold. Solid gold. Memories spin around her. She remembers wiping away tears from those eyes. She pain floods her body. The utter agony. But she knows those eyes. "Who are you?" She chokes out. "I forgot my father took away your memories" he says with a saddened look. Those eyes stare at her with love and sadness. Tears well up. Almost instinctually, she crosses the distance between them and wipes away his tears. Her hand lingers and he grabs her hand and holds it to his face. He starts to sob.

The trees sway with the cool breeze, but she doesn't feel it. She doesn't feel the beautiful green moss beneath her feet, or the rough bark of the trees she walks by. But what she does feel, is an ache in her heart, it feels as through there's a piece missing from her. She doesn't know why, and she can't remember what it is. All she knows is something is missing and it hurts.

She watches from afar. Never interacting directly. Just watching. She recognizes them. They are . . . familiar to her . . . somehow. All she knows is the forest, yet, she knows them. This merry band of disrupters. Does she dare go to them? No, for now she shall just watch.

Ahhhhhhhhh! She's here! She's finally done!
Everyone, meet Lilith. She's an elven spirit that once belonged to a merry band of warriors known throughout the land as the protectors against The Gloom. But, she sadly met her match against them and died protecting a child from The Gloom. Little did she know, the child she protected was actually the son of a god. And when the god saw how she had protected his child until her last breath, he saved her spirit and made her the guardian of his forest. Tying her very life force to the trees. In doing this, her memory of her deed and her friends was wiped away. So this is all she's ever known. The forest, the animals, the sun.

Going to play in the garden!

Leafeon is finally here! I wore her to Anime Expo, but I didn't take a single picture in her; I know, I'm awful. But I figured the best way to debut this beautiful cosplay would be by doing a proper photoshoot.
