Monday’s can be so intimidating.

After a nice relaxful weekend you come back to what seems like 10000 emails or maybe just another week of classes, the amount of stress can be so overwhelming. ☹

It might even feel so crippling to think about all that you have to do.

But as cliche as this sounds break up your day into mini tasks!

Conquer each task/goal with 100% of your attention one at a time. 👊

Make that list of what you need to do and fulfill each one. Slowly but surely you’ll see that you beat today with flying colors! 😁

Keep working on your craft
Keep learning about your passions
Keep growing yourself 💛

Establishing a morning routine is critical!

Always setting your day off on the right foot is so important for a business owner. It allows you to prepare your mind, body, and soul 🌿on how the day could possibly play out.💪

As entrepreneurs ourselves, we found it very beneficial setting up our morning routine because it helps us track our micro-goals with our macro-goals!
What would a morning routine look like?

It can look like whatever you want! It’s a matter of creating a system that you can do EVERY morning. Your routine can take 5 minutes or it can take 50 minutes its all up to you!

Here is an example of what it could be:

✅5 min of journaling
✅5 min of meditation
✅15 min of reading a book
✅10 min of exercises

As a small business owner you probably have to wear a gazillion different hats in order for your business to even survive a day.

You need to be a salesman, a marketing coordinator, an operations director, & more importantly THE financial pillar for your family.😲😲😲

Not only did you not expect to be wearing all these different hats but you might not even had known that all these different hats existed.

First and foremost we want to say you are doing GREAT!😚😄

No one has ever said running a business was going to be easy so DON’T be discouraged. Even if you feel like you’re at a plateau. We threw together a mental checklist☑️ to help you move 1% in the right direction.

Not any single step in this list is more important than the other. When all done each day together, you’ll see that there’s absolutely no way you can’t achieve your goals!! So keep moving forward 🤸

Jonathan has been in the city for almost 6 years now! He grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia🔔 and is also a huge fan of the Sixers🏀!

During undergrad, he learned the value of a diverse, interconnected community. After seeing firsthand how COVID-19 impacted the restaurants and retail stores that he had been a loyal customer to for years, he felt stirred to do what he could to give back to his community. He is looking to do his part to preserve the unique small businesses in his area and serve his neighbors through this opportunity. Jonathan believes that small businesses are the heart and spirit of every city/town and seeks to help owners find success in their journey😁🙌!

Jay’s journey with small businesses began when he was a kid. His parents own a flower shop and have been running it for almost 20 years! There are many challenges with mom and pop shops, especially in the first couple of years. Their business often struggled but they slowly and organically grew a presence in South Jersey.
