I was a teacher for over two years, and yet I had no Idea what I was doing! 😬

When I first decided to write a book, I felt completely lost. Lesson planning did not compare to writing a book. I didn’t know where to start, how to structure my thoughts, or if anyone would even care about what I had to say.

Even while imprisoned, beaten, rejected, and falsely accused, Paul didn’t stop moving in his calling.

In fact, some of the most powerful parts of the Bible like Philippians, Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon, were written while he was locked in a Roman prison.

Rather than let his circumstances silence him, Paul used what he had: pen and purpose.

He kept writing. He kept teaching. He kept sending letters.
And those words are still transforming lives over 2,000 years later.

Takeaway for the aspiring author:
If Paul could write chained to a prison guard with no Wi-Fi, no support team, and no publishing deal, what’s stopping you?

Have you gotten creative with your book sales strategy?

Here are two powerful strategies to reach more people with your book this summer:

1. Host a “Book & Brunch” Pop-Up Event or Reading Tour.

Create a small, local summer book tour—even if it’s just a few stops! Partner with churches, cafes, libraries, or community centers. Include a short reading, Q&A, light snacks, and a book signing. Invite people from your circle and promote via Eventbrite, Facebook, and Instagram.

Bonus: Offer a bundle deal with your book + workbook or book + journal.

2. Host a 1-Day Summer Challenge or Workshop Based on Your Book

Turn your book into a mini experience by offering a one-day challenge or virtual/in-person workshop centered around one key topic in your book. Use your eBook as the course material—participants get it as part of registration. Teach a practical lesson, story, or activity related to the book (e.g., healing, purpose, leadership, etc.).Charge a small fee (or free entry with eBook purchase) and offer a limited-time replay to increase urgency.

Promote the event with a countdown on Instagram, Facebook, and email.

Bonus: Ask participants to post their takeaways online and tag you—this builds visibility and credibility!

📣 I have a confession…
I used to be afraid to show myself on camera—just like I was afraid of driving.
(Which is exactly why I didn’t get my license until I was 23.)
