As an art adviser and consultant located in the Ojai-Ventura area since 1993, she offers experienced guidance and practical solutions with an international perspective to a diverse clientele in the art world. He walked on water, and made millions "imagine" art outside and inside of his dreams. We "became" a part of his dreams.
What he and Jeanne-Claude did was original, iconoclastic, significant, magnificent, joyful, inspirational, transformational. Monumental, yes.
Christo died today. The memories will live on. With awe and gratitude.

The artist Christo died at his home in New York City on Sunday. He's known for major outdoor art installations that often involved wrapping buildings and elements of nature in fabric.

Here's the new reality: galleries, museums and art fairs have been temporarily closing theirs doors and postponing events. And that's a good thing given the current risks of contagion. Opening this Saturday from 5-7pm at the Porch Gallery - Ojai for works on paper (and more!) by Beatrice Wood. Her life and her work were an INSPIRATION for decades to countless admirers and art lovers, in Ojai and around the world . She continues to fascinate and inspire.
It was my pleasure and privilege to organize the first retrospective of her original works on paper at my gallery in Los Angeles, in 1988. Many thanks to the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts for keeping her legacy alive.

Beatrice Wood is known for her distinctive work in ceramics, but she was just as accomplished in creating two-dimensional work, having initially emerged creating watercolor and gouache works over a century ago as a member of the NY Dada Movement. We are looking forward to Bed Stories and More, an exhibition at Ojai’s Porch Gallery. Opening Reception this Saturday, 5 - 7 pm - See you there!
