We are on day 1 of a 33 day car trip. First stop, Flagstaff. We visited some RV parks in the area to see if they would be a nice place to stay next summer. There are new owners renovating Kit Carson’s RV Park, now known as Heartwood RV Resort Flagstaff, and they are doing some major improvements and expansion! When they are done it will be a really great RV Resort! Then on to the Planet Fitness in town, one of their best “curb appeal” gyms in our opinion, visited Cuties Nails-great place for a mani/pedi, then dinner at Mark’s favorite place, Texas Roadhouse.
On to Albuquerque NM tomorrow for an overnight stop but swinging through Show Low, AZ to check out some other RV Resorts.
Our rig is resting at its winter home in Yuma, AZ. Our new lot looks great! Just got the gazebo up before we left for our trip.🙂

Our “Uninhibited in the Wild” journey came to an abrupt end on Day 80=July 18. My Dad had a heart attack, followed by open heart surgery. Thankfully, he is recovering very well and over about a 3 week recovery period, he was walking, driving, and doing some light housework. I say that’s a win for my 78 year old father!
Although our summer plans changed drastically, I wouldn’t change the blessing of being able to be there for him, and my mom, during that time.
We left Bend, OR early and believe it or not, we took the rig to our new lot in Yuma, AZ and will be there for a few weeks (yes in the intense Yuma AZ heat 🥵) before taking off on our next adventure. Excited to share the next sites with you all!

Day 77 of our Uninhibited in the Wild journey: We enjoyed the views of Mt Bachelor today. The ski lift up and lunch at the top was great. Beautiful views!

Day 75 of our Uninhibited in the Wild journey: We visited Sun River and drove part of the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway-seeing many alpine lakes, like Lava Lake, and glimpses of one of the Three Sisters Mountains. Views of Mt Bachelor in the distance where there are a lot of ski runs visible (little snow left) and a vast high desert valley floor. Oregon is such a beautiful place! Later this week we will take the ski lift up to Mt Bachelor for an afternoon visit to enjoy the views and some food/drinks. Life is grand!

Day 68 & 69 of our Uninhibited in the Wild journey: We visited some good friends in Albany, OR and went over to the Oregon Coast. We ate at some nice restaurants and took a dune ride. The ride was energetic and fun! If you are in the Florence, OR area, check out Sandland Tours Florence OR for a fun dune ride experience! Stop in for a good seafood meal at Luna Sea Fishhouse in Yachats. Enjoy a walk at Nye Beach in New Port.

Day 63 of our Uninhibited in the Wild journey and we visited Sisters, Oregon. Cute town, lots of dining options, hiking trails nearby, touristy shops and such-really great place. We went into Sisters Bakery and boy the smells were delightful! No baked goods purchased but a really good Iced Lavender Chai Latte was enjoyed! We drove through a local RV Park (Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort) and it is a nice place if you are looking for a place to stay in this area. It was a beautiful day in Oregon today, perfect weather! Driving Hwy 20 from Bend to Sisters provided some great views of the Cascade Mountain range, in these shots…Mt Jefferson and The Three Sisters.

Day 58-60 of our Uninhibited in the Wild journey: We visited three great restaurants with friends this weekend in Bend, Oregon. Anthony’s and Hola! in the Old Mill District and Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge. All three locations EXCELLENT dining choices. If you are in the area stop in for a great meal!
