Here is the CBS “60 Minutes” segment on ICE/deportations fiasco that Bari Weiss, its recently installed news chief, pulled explaining, “I held the story because it was not ready.” Some ascribe that the piece was nixed from lineup because of political calculations and repercussions. Ready or not a Canadian affiliate did run the piece, and here it is for you to see for yourself.

Station Hill Press mourns the passing of the poet and translator Jerome Rothenberg (1931-2024), our friend, colleague, author, collaborator and guide through this maze of a world made of what is said. As Jerry writes, "A 'real' person in these terms is one who hasn’t forgotten what & where things are in relation to the Earth. Earth-rooted, he is royal too, not by precedence of birth, but insofar as he has & shares a knowledge of the realm. He has only to maintain a true eye for his surroundings & a contact with the Earth, to recognize himself as the inheritor of reality, of a more real way of life."
