Pool time followed by dinner & drinks at Tap & Grill Lakeside Brew Haus is a highlight of Ozarks lake life...until you realize you stayed too long & didn't beat the rain.

We were soaked, but suited up appropriately so it didn't matter. Now it's time for showers, more drinks & some Bravo to finish the night.

The July 4th storm definitely gave us a holiday weekend we won’t forget… mostly because we spent 28 hours of it without power. 🚫 ⚡

Both of our refrigerators & freezers had to be completely cleared out. RIP to the holiday weekend groceries, the cookout prep, and all the ice. 💸🥩

​A huge thank you to the linemen and emergency crews who worked around the clock in the heat to get the lake back up and running. But man, filling this back up from scratch is going to be a project...and a hit to the pocketbook. 🫣

​Thanks to our amazing neighbors who moved our boat after we left. Yep - we were on the water when the storm hit, and the power was out when we got home = no electricity for the boat lift. So, we had to park in a random slip until the power came back on.

🚨 LOTO Storm Update: Flynn Road near Bagnell Dam is currently blocked by downed trees, and word is over 40,000 people are without power around the lake right now.

​We’ve been without power for 5 hours now with no estimated restore time and no crews on-site yet. Stay safe out there if you're navigating the roads or docks tonight!

We had a big rainstorm at the Lake of the Ozarks on July 4th. We rode it out, but driving home we saw a dock from the Hawaiian Islands completely separated from the rest of the docks and floating in the middle of the lake.

Praying everyone is OK.

When family is in town, you leave the July 4th "Super Bowl of the lake" festivities to catch up & hang out.

They're staying at the Havens at Four Seasons condo complex. It's a beautiful space with unbeatable views!

The boys are so excited their human siblings have arrived for the July 4th holiday at ...and I am too! ❤️ It's going to be a great weekend!

Happy National Boating Day from Lake of the Ozarks! 🌊 Proper etiquette for today includes breaking out another thousand (B.O.A.T) and heading out to the main channel.

​Hard work all week just to spend it all on the water by Saturday—worth it every single time. 🚤❤️
