I was recently asked to reflect on my work with various groups from CMA. I can honestly say that making a connection with any of these individuals really means the world to me. They are not impressed by who you know, what your title is, what awards you have won - all that they care about is that you can connect through compassion, patience and kindness. Really, what's more important than that?

(Community Mainstreaming Associates is a nonprofit that helps those with intellectual and developmental disabilities with by providing residential, vocational and day program services.)

6th Grade Girl Scouts from Manhasset came for a tour and a short workshop at the studio on Monday. These girls are beginning their journey in Digital Media towards a Silver Award. Their focus during out session was changing the focus from putting value in unrealistic beauty standards to other strengths and skills that they have. Girl Power!!!
