Sunrise over East Bay...

I normally don't like the casino and it's blight on the view, but the other morning, it just worked as a focal element since the sun was coming up just behind it!

Most of the sunrises this week were good, but this one, on the morning as we headed home was epic!

But you can’t see her eyes!
Yeah, I know. I did that on purpose.
Placing the light in such a way that the shadow was cast over her eyes adds mystery and pushes your focus to her smile.

Manistique Light drone shot...

I really like the composition on this one, but the light was just meh.

I need more moody clouds to get the vibe I was really looking for with this shot.

Guess that just means another trip to the UP when there is a Lake Michigan storm brewing! 😁

Continuing with my B&W project... some older photos that I converted to B&W.

Scanning through the old folders really does help to shift my eye into B&W mode, seeing the color and light, but visualizing in B&W is helping me see new compositions and scenes in B&W.
