As everyone knows, I'm a landscape and scenic photographer... but when these two asked if I would shoot their wedding, I dusted off the old wedding skills (and they were dusty!) and went to town!

These are just the first two that I've already shared with them, and they love them already!

While I am more at home with the Great Lakes states, Colorado is spectacular!

I have never shot astral before, but the conditions in Breckenridge from our lodgings were awesome!! I haven't seen the Milky Way in decades!

Since I was traveling light with gear, I didn't have a tripod with me. I am sooooooo thankful for IBIS...

It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it! I can see myself doing more Milky Way photography in the future!

I stopped here because there was supposed to be a waterfall... but it was more of a "seepage" with some damp areas of the rock.

However, turning around from the where the waterfall was this gorgeous, creepy little tunnel next to some seriously sketchy steps.

While it was covered in graffiti, I felt the B/W conversion given the great contrast with the deep shadows and bright sunlight.

Surprisingly, he was only about 20' away and keeping a wary eye on me!

Infrared fun on my last road trip!

I wanted to do some editing last night, but I got home late and was wiped out from the trip...

Shooting with a 720nm Infrared Filter, which blocks almost all visible light while letting mostly just the infrared light though. It's a super cool effect and I'm still learning with it!

IR really shines with a lot of bright light around mid day. However, I wanted to try a scene like this on a path in the middle of a forest because I wanted something that was kind of surreal and different than what you typically see with IR photography.

The photo on the left is what comes out of the camera. Since I'm using the filter, I have to shoot a long exposure - this one is 15 seconds around 1250 ISO.

The one on the right is after I do the B/W conversion in Lightroom.
