On December 3, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a Thunderbird pilot ejected safely from a F-16C Fighting Falcon aircraft during a training mission over controlled airspace in California.
The pilot is in stable condition and receiving follow-on care.
The incident is under investigation and further information will be released from the 57th Wing Public Affairs Office.

We're now on day four of our "Week of WONG"! Bob Carlton of Vertigo Airshows performed in his twin jet powered FoxJet sailplane at the Wings Over North Georgia Airshow last weekend, first giving the crowd a graceful sailplane routine followed by low level jet powered aerobatics.

Continuing our "Week of WONG" and Warbird Wednesday is USAF Retired LtCol Jerry "Jive" Kerby (fly Jive fly, LLC) in the Trojan Thunder solo T-28 demo! Jive displayed the Vietnam era trainer at the Wings Over North Georgia Airshow this past weekend, demonstrating both the aircraft's aerobatic capabilities and his own skill.
