I have to admit, it’s been really strange being (mostly) off for the summer. I feel like I should be creating but taking the time to slow down has been refreshing.
I took on 4 sessions this summer, during days I knew we wouldn’t be traveling, I think this has helped my artistic mind stay happy.
This time off has allowed me to think freely about where I want to steer my art, and how I want to continue to this passion of mine. That being said, you may have noticed a slight shift in my work and that is the hardest thing to do when you have loyal clients who book you for your work as it was. That being said I will now only be focusing on curated sessions, cinematic, heartfelt sessions that make you feel. Soft, nostalgic edits that emphasize this. Eventually I would love to offer video for all sessions to tie it all together. I will be referring out new sessions for clients who prefer more a traditional session. This is something that a lot of photographers (who view it as art) have a hard time realizing, but being able to focus on what makes the spark inside you ignite is so important.
Hopefully this inspires others to shoot only what you love and never do it for the money!
