Hi, I’m Tonya — founder of Like It Marketing, a boutique marketing partner helping service-based businesses show up, connect, and grow with purpose. That’s why I blend strategy, storytelling, and systems to help businesses build visibility, strengthen relationships, and turn trust into results. As a wife, mom, and lifelong communicator, I know how important it is for your marketing to feel good —

aligned with your values, your voice, and the people you’re called to serve. If you’re ready for marketing that’s kind, strategic, and actually works — you’ll probably like it here. 💙

One of my clients sent me this text recently:

"I apologize for never getting to review this month's posts. I had to fully surrender and trust your professional abilities to get the job done and after FINALLY mid-month having the opportunity to check things out, I'm blown away! You knocked it out of the park! Everything is looking amazing... You are gold. THANK YOU for being so trustworthy with representation of all we are as a company." ✨

And honestly? This is exactly why I built my process the way I did.

Business owners are busy.

Not "I forgot to answer an email" busy.

More like juggling employees, clients, sales, operations, family, and the hundred other things that demand their attention every day.

The reality is that social media often gets pushed to the bottom of the list—not because it isn't important, but because there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

That's why, during onboarding, I offer clients an option that has become a lifesaver for many of them:

If they miss their content approval deadline and choose this option ahead of time, I can move forward with posting without waiting for final approval.

This keeps their marketing moving even during their busiest seasons.

No scrambling.
No gaps in content.
No disappearing from their audience for weeks at a time.

Instead, they can focus on running their business while trusting that their brand is still being represented well online.

Of course, this level of flexibility only works when there's a strong foundation of trust—and that's something I never take lightly.

My goal isn't just to create posts.

My goal is to know your brand so well that even when life gets hectic, your marketing keeps working for you.

And when a client comes back weeks later and says, "You knocked it out of the park," that's one of the greatest compliments I can receive. ❤️

After some time away and a much-needed family vacation, I spent part of today getting caught up on client reporting.

The numbers were great.

Reach was up.
Engagement was up.
Visibility was up.

(And yes, if you look closely, you'll spot Ms. Rachel in the background while I worked. The glamorous reality of working from home with a toddler. 😅)

But what stood out most wasn't the metrics.

It was *why* the content performed.

The posts generating the strongest results weren't sales-focused or promotional.

They were stories.

Stories about people.
Career journeys.
Leadership.
Challenges.
Lessons learned.

It's a good reminder that social media isn't really about content.

It's about connection.

The platforms change.
The algorithms change.

But people still want to hear from people.

When brands share authentic experiences and meaningful insights, audiences pay attention.

That's something I see over and over again, regardless of industry.

Sometimes the best marketing isn't about saying more.

It's about being more human.

One thing about me? I’m going to obsess over the details. ✨

Designing a reel cover photo may seem small, but for luxury brands, every touchpoint matters. The fonts, spacing, imagery, and overall feel all work together to create a brand experience that instantly communicates quality before someone even presses play.

This is the part of marketing I love most...blending strategy with aesthetics to create content that not only looks beautiful, but feels aligned with the brand behind it. 🤍

This Sunday morning felt extra sweet. 🤍

After a long few weeks of ear infections, strep throat, little sleep, and juggling all the things… we finally started feeling like ourselves again. So we took advantage of a baby-free morning and spent some time together outside — him playing disc golf, me mostly just enjoying the walk, sunshine, and quality time. ☀️

These moments may seem simple, but they matter so much to me. Marriage takes intention, especially in busy seasons of parenting, business, and life. Getting to laugh together, breathe fresh air, and just *be us* again filled my cup more than I realized I needed.

A gentle reminder that protecting your marriage doesn’t always have to look big or fancy. Sometimes it’s just making space to reconnect after a hard week. 💛

As we celebrate 5 years of Like It Marketing this month, I’ve been reflecting on just how grateful I am for this journey. 🤍

Did you know that nearly half of small businesses don’t make it to the five year mark? That reality is never lost on me. Every single day, I thank God for allowing me to build this business from the ground up.

Over the last five years, I’ve learned more than I ever imagined. I’ve grown not only as a business owner and marketing professional, but also as a person. Entrepreneurship has stretched me, humbled me, strengthened me, and blessed me in ways I can’t fully put into words.

I owe so much gratitude to the business mentors who guided me, the entrepreneurs and clients I’ve had the honor of collaborating with, the incredible community that has supported and referred me, and especially my family for always being my biggest fans.

One of the greatest blessings of all is that I truly love what I do. Not everyone gets to say that, and I never want to take it for granted.

Praise God for five amazing years of Like It Marketing. I’m praying and believing for many more to come. ✨

Across multiple client accounts, we’ve seen the same pattern:

The best-performing content is:
– story-driven
– people-centered
– rooted in real experiences

Not overly curated.
Not overly complicated.

Just… real.

Because your audience doesn’t need perfect.

They need to feel something.

They need to see themselves in what you’re sharing.

That’s what creates connection.
And connection is what drives growth.

If your content feels like it’s missing that piece, I have space for 1–2 clients this month.

Not everyone sees what it takes to show up to a networking event…

Some of us are getting babysitters just to be there (me, cough 🤍).
Some of us are quietly nervous to stand up and share about our businesses.
Some are putting together presentations they’ve practiced for weeks.

And some people are dedicating their time and energy to creating spaces for all of us to grow (hey, Monica 🤍).

It’s easy to just show up and see the surface.

But there’s a lot of courage, effort, and intention behind it.

And I just want to say — I see you.

I’m proud of you.

And I’m really grateful for spaces like the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce that bring people like this together.

The way I run my business might look slower… but there’s a reason for that.

If you’ve ever felt like growth has to come from doing more, this might shift your perspective.

Watch this.

I have space for 1–2 clients this month if you’re ready for a more grounded, strategic approach.

One of my clients saw:

→ +53% increase in Instagram reach
→ +285% increase in Facebook reach
→ +267% increase in engagement

But the numbers aren’t the most important part.

What matters is why it worked.

We didn’t just post more.

We focused on:
– real families
– real stories
– clear, purpose-driven messaging

Because people don’t connect with businesses.
They connect with meaning.

That’s when engagement turns into trust.
And trust turns into action.

This is the kind of strategy I build with my clients.

I have 1–2 spots open this month if you’re ready for that kind of growth.
