Announcing two new additions to the Texas Prescribed Music List for String Orchestra! 🎶🎻

"Trial by Fire" by Peter Blair, composer is an aggressive piece that students will love! This work should be played with rhythmic drive and intensity. Though there is a contrasting melodic section, the tempo remains constant.

"Tango Rio" by David Hinds offers every section in the Orchestra a chance in the spotlight! This work explores syncopation as the rhythmic focus.

This just-released grade 4 Jazz chart by composer Ellen Rowe was inspired by an experience that was unique (to say the least)!

Ellen Rowe writes:
"This piece was written after an Eco-Tour opportunity to swim with dolphins took a bit of a left turn. Let’s just say that getting body slammed by huge pink Amazon River dolphins as they race towards buckets of fish that have been thrown into the water around you is not the most pleasant sensation."
