The Southern

The Southern The Student Voice of Florida Southern College Students do not have to be communication majors to participate, nor do they need any previous experience.

The Southern, which represents the “student voice of Florida Southern College,” is a student-run newspaper published every other Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters. The Southern benefits students by giving them real-world experience in newspaper writing and production, which also helps to build resumes. The purpose of the newspaper is to serve the student body as a vehicle of information and as a forum for their opinions.
